Readable. Not interested in offers ill just keep it. Incredible Provenance. This book was saved from Napolean's Invasion of Venice at the Comaldalese Order of Monks St Michalis Monastery 1815? Very famous library at that time. The monks printed on a Gutenberg press, rubricated and illuminated incunabula. One of the monks was able to secret this volume out while Napolean's troops burned all of the monks buildings to the ground. I have been there. The location is now the Venice Historical Cemetery. The church still stands. They Stole every incunabula and scroll and sent to France. The remainer of the books are at various other locations in Venice now, The Louve 24 years ago admitted that they had all the materials but they had still not been cataloged. I called again about five years back and they told me they HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. Gotta love the French..:-) The information in Latin is written by hand at the colophon page by one of the monks.
